As students work on the Five Steps to Scientific Inquiry, there are a variety of other supplemental materials provided to them. Access to these materials is available via a sidebar on the right side of their screen called Reference Materials.
Throughout a lesson, various dictionary words are highlighted and access to the definitions is provided both in-context and from the Reference Materials sidebar. Audio controls are provided to allow students to hear the word and definition read aloud.
To access the audio controls for dictionary words:
Students can access general reference materials to support their overall use of eScience3000 by clicking on any of the links under Resources which will contain Graphic Organizers and Handbooks. Teachers can view these materials prior to students working on a lesson to determine which resources they would like to include in the lesson.
To view or print any of the Resource materials:
Students can access additional materials to extend learning beyond the lesson by clicking on any of the links under Extended Learning. The area will include featured articles that help make connections across the curriculum or related Web sites that connect with the lesson.
